Who we are

Aericon is made up of industry veterans, entrepreneurs and digital strategists that can help you take the best course of action. We look at all your options, define priorities, an implementation plan and operation of a comprehensive digital program. We help you define a strategy that can be executed quickly at the lowest possible cost so you can minimize risk and accelerate time to value.

We believe that time and money directly corresponds to risk.

The lines have blurred between advertising, marketing, sales and service. We focus on the customer experience from acquisition to revenue optimization. Today optimizing the Lifetime Customer Value and achieving brand affinity happens mostly online. We have proven experience helping companies from startups to fortune 100.

Pronounced “Air-e-con” the name is derived from Greek. “Aero” is air and “icon” is a graphical representation. There’s all kinds of meaning that can be implied about breathing life into your brand, holding your message up in the air. We like the name because of its alphabetical positioning and it can be said without lisping or spitting.

Leadership

Dean Whitney - CEO

Dean has worked with many of the worlds leading brands and agencies with expertise in digital strategy, social media, user experience and technology. He was an executive at Digitas and agency president after two successful technology startups and several years in corporate marketing and interactive. 

Ray Elman - President

Ray is a fine artist, entrepreneur and interactive veteran. He was a founding partner at Bridgeline Digital (NASDAQ: BLIN) and National Director of Creative Services for Coopers & Lybrand. He has a BS and MBA from Wharton and balances his time between Miami and Cape Cod.

Sam Rizvi - VP Delivery

Sam oversees operations and heads delivery. Prior to to Aericon, Sam was head of the PMO for Sinopec in Fujian, China for eight years. Prior to that he served as a senior Management Consultant at PwC Consulting. He holds a Masters in Management Sciences from Stanford and an MBA from UCLA.

Valeska Oleary - Director, User Experience

Valeska specializes in user experience design and has designed enterprise and consumer applications for companies ranging from fortune 100 to startups including Fidelity, State Street Financial, Omgeo, John Hancock, Biogen and Wolters Kluwer.

Mike Hanson - Creative Director

For over 10 years Mike has worked with brands including Coca-Cola, Yahoo, Red Bull, Toyota, Intel, RED, Scion, Nike, Adidas, O’Neill, Nokia, Fidelity, Fox Sports, ESPN and Merrill Lynch. Agencies including Tribal DDB, Leo Burnett, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Sapient, Avenue A Razorfish and Juxt.

Sim Simeonov - Advisor

Sim’s expertise ranges from startups and financing to R&D to go-to-market and alliances development. Sim was Chief Architect at Macromedia (Adobe). He has a master’s in computer science from Boston University and bachelors in computer science, economics and math from Macalester College.
